How the humble jam jar is reborn

della jamjar candle 1editedA huge up-cycling fan myself, I love the fact that people are still getting excited about giving old things a new lease of life. And why not? Times are hard and money doesn’t grow on tree’s, sadly.

There’s a real sense of fulfilment when buying or making up-cycled products that you just don’t get from blindly picking something off the shelf and chucking it in your trolley.

One designer who I’ve known for a number of years, has turned her talents to up-cycling all sorts of unwanted things into chic designs that are sure to give you that little buzz of happiness.

The adorable Adele Flint is the lady behind Della’s Workshop; an eco-chic haven where all unwanted things are brought back to life. Her most recent creation is the JamJar Candle, to which she carefully engraves each jar by hand with a personalised message especially for you.

Attention is all in the details and this little treat arrived cushioned in curly wood shavings mixed with sweet smelling lavender buds. The JamJar Candle  is the epitome of simple beauty, with a dash of rustic charm that’s perfect as a present for a loved one or yourself! We all love a spot of self gifting.
